The Team
The UK & Ireland is Deliveroo's most mature market globally. Functions include commercial, operations, and marketing, with teams in the UK&I partnering with global departments such as Product, Technology, Consumer, and Restaurants.
The UK&I Regional team drives Deliveroo's performance across all five nations, from Brighton to Bangor, Bolton to Belfast. We oversee all three sides of our marketplace: restaurants, consumers, and riders. Our focus is on bringing the best selection to customers and growth opportunities for restaurants.
The Role
We are seeking an Account Manager for our Midlands team, working with existing independent partners. You’ll conduct business reviews for restaurants, retailers, and grocers, focusing on improvement and enabling them to self-serve in the future. This role suits someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, thrives amid ambiguity, and is results-driven. You’ll report to the Head of Account Management, working closely with your City Manager, based in Birmingham, with most of your time spent in your cities.
What You'll Do
* Own the business relationship with independent partners in your locations, working directly with sites or midmarket account managers to drive improvements.
* Deliver business reviews, coaching partners to help them self-serve and grow.
* Engage proactively with offline sites to resolve issues and bring them back online.
* Be an expert in independent account growth, upskilling the team on this.
* Log all meetings and activities in Salesforce with clear notes for smooth handovers.
Requirements
* Proven experience in account or relationship management or strategic partnerships.
* Effective relationship-building and communication skills.
* Track record of delivering strong commercial results.
* Strong commercial acumen, results-oriented, and target-driven.
* Self-motivated, organized, enjoys autonomous work, with a mix of field (3-4 days/week) and office/home (1-2 days/week) work.
* Valid UK driving license and vehicle.
