SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary (Immediate Start, Sydenham)
Join Teaching Personnel in making a real difference to young learners in Upper Sydenham. We are supporting a welcoming primary school that provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for children with a range of complex needs, including Autism. The school is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a temporary basis, starting immediately.
You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support, helping pupils to access the curriculum and develop essential life skills. The ideal candidate will bring patience, empathy, and resilience to the role, along with experience of supporting children with additional needs in a primary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex needs.
Assist in implementing EHCP targets and differentiated learning plans.
Support the social, emotional, and educational development of pupils.
Collaborate with staff and parents to create consistent, supportive routines.
Carry out other duties as required to maintain a positive learning environment.
