About the role
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll deliver the quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. You'll embody our ethos: passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and welcoming environment.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be 18 years or older.
Key Responsibilities
* Start your day in store, checking your delivery routes.
* Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
* Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and safety standards.
* Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service.
* Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
* Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and moving cages.
* Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
* IT literacy.
Desirable skills/experience
* Previous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles are a plus.
