Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to local revenues and taxation matters. Develop service specifications, business plans, operational work programmes, and measurable outcomes. Monitor Service Level Agreements to ensure quality and value for money. Oversee the accurate annual billing process for Council Tax, NNDR, and Business Improvement Districts. Ensure revenue systems are utilised effectively across all relevant teams. Lead, support, and develop the Revenue Team, including staff training and development programmes. Promote effective debt management and recovery procedures. Produce detailed management reports relating to outstanding debt and income collection performance. Manage budgets in line with financial regulations and procedures. Prepare and present committee reports and deputise for the Revenues and Benefits Service Manager when required. Build effective relationships with council departments, external agencies, and stakeholders to support seamless service delivery. Requirements: Strong experience within Revenues, Council Tax, and NNDR services. In-depth knowledge of local government revenue legislation and procedures.
