SEN Teaching Assistants – Bournemouth
Full-Time & Bank Staff Opportunities Available
Working Hours: 08:30am – 15:30pm
Age Range: 4-19 years
We are currently recruiting passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with complex needs in specialist settings across Bournemouth.
Whether you’re seeking full-time employment or prefer the flexibility of bank staff roles, we have rewarding opportunities available to work with pupils aged 4 to 19 years with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, non-verbal communication, and physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to students with complex needs
2. Assist with communication, sensory regulation, and emotional wellbeing
3. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver holistic care
4. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
5. Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
6. A calm, patient, and resilient approach
7. A willingness to learn and adapt to individual needs
8. A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
