Job Description:
Do you take pride in well-maintained outdoor environments? Are you a hands-on leader who enjoys practical work as much as people management?
We’re looking for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small, dedicated team across unique outdoor test facilities where world-class vehicles are pushed to their limits on specialist circuits and terrains. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your landscaping and maintenance experience in an environment unlike any other—where your work directly supports vehicle development and safety testing.
You'll oversee day-to-day upkeep of the site and play a key role in small-to-medium improvement projects that enhance how the grounds function.
What You’ll Be Doing
Grounds Maintenance Supervision (90%):
* Lead and support a small team maintaining circuits, landscaped areas, and wider proving ground facilities.
* Oversee inspections, ensure safety standards, and implement proactive maintenance schedules.
* Manage use of grounds equipment, support team welfare and scheduling, and help improve processes.
* Maintain compliance with PUWER, Risk Assessments, and safe working practices.
Project Support Coordination (10%):
* Work alongside the Project Engineer and Lead Grounds Person to support on-site improvement projects.
* Coordinate schedules, resources, and contractors to keep progress on track.
* Help track budgets, timelines, and updates to stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar outdoor/facilities roles.
* Proven people management and team leadership skills.
* Practical knowledge of health & safety regulations, PUWER, and safe equipment use.
* Bonus if you’ve supported site improvement or infrastructure projects.
Ideal If You:
* Want to lead a small team and stay hands-on in a unique and purposeful environment.
* Enjoy varied, outdoor-based work with a mix of supervision and coordination.
* Like the idea of helping maintain and improve sites that support vehicle testing and innovation.
This is a contract role until March, but it’s expected to extend or convert to permanent.
Based across Gaydon and Fen End, depending on business need.
