Location of the Yard Hand / Yardhand / Yardman / Valeter / Car Valeter / Fleet Yard Operative / Yard Driver: Dunstable Salary of the Yard Hand / Yardhand / Yardman / Valeter / Car Valeter / Fleet Yard Operative: £28,000.00 pa Hours of work: 07:00am - 16:00pm with an hour for lunch Purpose of the role: Reporting to the Garage Manager, you role will be to promote a well-ordered vehicle storage area by ensuring that all parking areas are kept clean and tidy, and that the available space is utilised in the most effective way. Responsibilities of the Yard Hand / Yardhand / Yardman / Valeter / Car Valeter / Fleet Yard Operative / Yard Driver: Applying livery / stickers to vehicles Ensure parking areas are kept clean and tidy Maintain recycling area making sure all waste is disposed / stored in the correct manner On receipt of vehicles, thoroughly assess to determine any damage Valeting of the vehicles Allocate cone numbers and park vehicles in respective areas Carry out high standard valet on all vehicles Ensure vehicles are ready for issue Issue vehicles to clients ensuring all relevant documentation is completed in a timely and efficient manner Deliver / collect vehicles from sites as and when required Deliver / collect vehicles to specialist garages Empty bins and move collected rubbish to recognised area for external collection Undertake the cleaning and general tidiness of the garage Properly clean and store all cleaning equipment when used Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations Any other appropriate duties Skills and Requirements: Must hold a valid UK driving licence The ability to pay attention to detail A flexible attitude The ability to be adaptable Strong interpersonal skills Good communication skills The ability to work without supervision The ability to stay motivated in all circumstances The ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain high standards at all times If you are interested in this role then please send your CV to Danica Baker at Sprint Recruitment
