Overview
We’re expanding our team and are looking for a Night Care Assistant to join us at Maurice House. This role offers 36 hours per week, with shifts between 19:45 and 07:45, Monday to Sunday.
Responsibilities
* As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to our residents, many of whom have served in the Armed Forces.
* Assist with personal care and support residents with their daily routines, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
* Help with mobility, nutrition, and medication as required, and work closely with colleagues to provide a safe, welcoming environment.
* Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 qualification is desirable, with support available to achieve it if you are committed to progressing your career.
* Passion for delivering excellent care and putting people at the heart of everything you do.
* Ability to work night shifts (19:45–07:45).
About our care home
The Royal British Legion operates six care homes across the UK, dedicated to providing exceptional residential, nursing, and dementia care to veterans and their families. At Maurice House, fostering a supportive community is paramount. The home features a specialized dementia lodge, 12 acres of grounds, 77 en-suite bedrooms, and comfortable lounges. Our expert care team provides specialized support, including dedicated care within the dementia lodge for up to 30 residents.
