Manpower is currently seeking an interim CMI Lead to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. This role offers an opportunity to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. It is a full-time, temporary role lasting 7 months, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The compensation is competitive, up to £61,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite work, subject to business needs.
The main purpose of this role is to drive consumer-focused insights for strategic planning and flawless end-to-end execution in social media and sales channels marketing and commerce, in collaboration with the Beauty & Wellbeing CMI team. Key responsibilities include:
1. Insights-led content design and measurement for brand building in media and commerce.
2. Market development through deployment of innovations and existing core businesses into growth hacking and multi-year growth.
3. Supporting global brand design teams in executing and transforming local research relevant to the market.
4. Brand design and deployment for the Simple brand in UK+I.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leading the design, innovation, and deployment of insights for Simple skincare in UK+I independently.
2. Driving brand-specific insights in new developments, execution, and measurement to ensure brand superiority and experience across Europe.
3. Providing social brand experience insights and measuring improvements across media and sales channels.
4. Managing social communities insights through influencer marketing, earned & paid media, and community management.
5. Supporting Power Brand CMI teams in creating integrated brand plans including consumer activations, partnerships, and retail experiences.
6. Managing relationships with other CMI teams, agencies, CTI, and cross-functional teams.
Key Requirements
1. Extensive experience in marketing or market research focusing on category/brand growth.
2. Understanding of qualitative & quantitative research techniques, with experience in in-market data analysis (e.g., Nielsen, KWP, BGS). Ability to leverage multiple data sources to generate actionable insights.
3. Experience in innovation and communication development.
4. A passion for digital marketing, including digital content, influencer marketing, and eCommerce innovation.
5. Strong engagement, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to independently manage projects.
6. Ability to work remotely with a team.
7. Capacity to challenge norms constructively and drive change, unlocking growth through research and insights.
8. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and prioritize impactful actions.
9. Curiosity, attention to detail, and a positive, self-motivated attitude.
10. An understanding of the highly competitive beauty market and awareness of consumer trends.
Additional Information
Some ad hoc travel to the Blackfriars, London, office may be required.
