The Role
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to carry out maintenance on one of our sites. You will be part of a team responsible for all electrical and mechanical plant within a client's site. Your responsibilities include ensuring contractual obligations are met, performing first-line maintenance on critical plant, and being the first point of contact for the client. The successful candidate will work days and approved overtime night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure routine maintenance is performed on all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and service level agreements.
* Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as needed.
* Manage controls within the Permit to Work systems.
* Maintain Evaporation Cooling Systems and domestic water systems in compliance with L8 standards.
* Ensure availability of suitable spares for maintenance.
* Keep comprehensive maintenance records, either in hard copy or electronically.
* Prepare and adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safety.
* Supervise engineering subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual and site policies.
* Develop good working relationships with all staff members.
* Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, complying with all policies and procedures.
* Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks as assigned via PDA.
* Perform reactive tasks as reported.
* Participate in the on-call rota.
Qualifications
* Engineering Apprenticeship
* Mechanical City & Guilds or NVQ
* L8/Water Treatment certification
* Full Driving Licence
