An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and caring people professional to join our team as a People (HR) Advisor.
In this role, you will blend strong employee relations skills, sound HR judgement, and a passion for supporting people. You’ll be the go-to advisor for managers across our 9 Scottish hotels, guiding them through HR policies, ER cases, and day-to-day people matters with confidence, clarity, and care.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
* Provide expert guidance to managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability, and absence matters.
* Manage ER cases from initial enquiry through to resolution, ensuring fairness and compliance.
People Advisory
* Be a trusted first point of contact for all HR queries, supporting leaders to make sound people decisions.
* Coach managers to build confidence and consistency in people practices.
Policies & Compliance
* Ensure all HR processes, procedures, and decisions align with employment law and company policy.
* Support the development and review of HR policies to keep them current and effective.
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Support hiring managers through the recruitment lifecycle, including interviews and offer management.
* Help deliver smooth, engaging onboarding experiences for new team members.
Data & Reporting
* Maintain accurate HR records and systems.
* Produce regular reports on ER cases, turnover, absence, and other people metrics.
Learning & Development
* Identify training needs emerging from ER cases and people trends.
* Support in delivering workshops, training sessions, and development initiatives.
Culture & Engagement
* Champion positive workplace culture across all sites.
* Support wellbeing, engagement activities, and initiatives that align with our values.
Project Work
* Contribute to ongoing HR projects and improvement initiatives across the group.
* Support change management activity, including restructures and process updates.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED…
* Previous experience in a HR or a People Management Role (Essential)
* Ability to use own initiative and work independently as well as part of a wider team (Essential)
* Excellent Communication Skills (Essential)
* Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels (Essential)
* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy (Essential)
* Proficient in MS Office Applications (Essential)
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively (Essential)
* UK Drivers Licence (Essential)
* CIPD Level 3 qualified or equivalent (Desirable)
* Good knowledge of Employment Law and HR Best Practices (Desirable)
