Job Title : Work Placement Coordinator (0.6 FTE) Location: Middlesbrough College Main Campus, TS2 1AD Reporting to: Work Experience & Industry Place Team Leader Salary: £17,091 - £18,234 per annum, (actual salary) Annual Leave : 30 days per annum plus bank holidays (pro rata) Contractual hours : 22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks Basis: Part time, Permanent Pension: NEST Pension Join Our Team We are seeking a motivated and organised Work Placement Coordinator to join our team at Middlesbrough College. In this key role, you will work closely with students, curriculum delivery teams, and employers to support learners in achieving their educational goals through high-quality industry placements. You will also be responsible for promoting the Middlesbrough College brand, generating placement starts in line with agreed targets, and identifying new opportunities with employer organisations. By establishing constructive partnerships and fostering collaborative working relationships at an operational level, you will play a vital part in securing new business and expanding our network of placement providers. What You’ll Be Doing: As a Work Placement Coordinator, you will: Maintain, review, develop and increase the work placement opportunities across a range of courses in the department including T Levels. Support, monitor and record the progress of students in their workplace setting and reviewing SMART targets for students on the college systems Meet with students prior to their placements and discuss their needs and college’s expectations of students whilst on placement. Facilitate interview and recruitment processes with employers where required to secure work placement opportunities for students. Meet regularly with employers and students to complete all necessary paperwork and periodic progress reviews. Carry out workplace Health & Safety Vetting and complete relevant records in line with the college policy and procedure. Promote the continuation and development of business relationships.
