Project Overview
In a significant milestone, Brunel University London has secured funding of £2.6 million from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to create a Place Based Impact Acceleration Account (PBIAA). Called “Net-zero Food Supply Chains”, this pioneering project is set to make a substantial impact on the food supply systems operating within West London's vibrant Park Royal Industrial Estate. Colloquially known as ‘London’s Kitchen’, Park Royal hosts over 500 businesses in the food and drink sector, producing about 30% of London’s food and drink and contributing about £8bn a year to the economy.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of this grant, working with the businesses in the food and drink sector on the Park Royal Industrial Estate.
* Develop and implement a strategy for the delivery of the grant including all aspects of research business engagement with Park Royal businesses.
* Lead a team of two Business Development Manager Park Royal Net Zero, specialists in net zero energy systems, AI & big data or waste reduction and valorisation.
* Oversee operational delivery of the grant, including reporting on finances, activities, outcomes and KPIs to senior staff, appropriate committees and to the EPSRC.
