A well-established and forward-thinking contractor in the infrastructure and environmental sector is seeking an experienced
Estimator
to join their growing commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping competitive tenders for projects across
land remediation, bulk earthworks, and minor civil engineering .
As part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, you'll be instrumental in interpreting complex tender documentation and contributing strategic insights to enhance bid success.
?? Key Responsibilities:
Analyse and assess tender documentation including drawings, specifications, and surveys.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissions in collaboration with internal teams.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners to clarify requirements and gather key information.
Identify value engineering opportunities and propose innovative solutions to improve competitiveness.
Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, subcontractor pricing, and industry trends.
Support continuous improvement of estimating tools and internal processes.
? What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in estimating within remediation, earthworks, or minor civils.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations, ground conditions, and construction methodologies.
Ability to interpret technical documentation and assess project risks.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player.
?? Desirable Extras:
Relevant qualifications in construction, civil engineering, or quantity surveying.
Familiarity with NEC contracts and public sector tendering.
Experience using ASTA Programme management software.
