We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our internal finance team. Supporting a group of 13 companies—including some dormant entities—you’ll play a key role in streamlining financial operations, improving processes, and maintaining accurate records. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative team, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume finance environment.


What You’ll Be Doing


Billing & Sales Ledger

* Raise customer invoices across various platforms.
* Review client contracts to ensure accurate billing terms are applied.
* Liaise with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support accurate revenue recognition.
* Manage monthly billing cycles, reconciliations, and reporting.


Bank & Transaction Management

* Process and reconcile high-volume bank transactions.
* Ensure accurate posting and allocation of payments.
* Investigate and resolve unreconciled items in collaboration with internal departments.


Customer Interaction & Credit Control

* Respond to customer billing queries professionally and clearly.
* Perform credit control duties to minimise outstanding balances.
* Maintain a service-focused approach with both internal and external stakeholders.


Data Cleansing & Housekeeping

* Support data cleansing projects across ledgers.
* Assist with reconciling historical financial issues across multiple entities.
* Maintain well-organised and accurate financial records.


We’d Like to Hear from Someone That

* Has a solid understanding of double-entry accounting.
* Brings experience in high-volume transactional finance, including billing, reconciliations, and ledger management.
* Is proficient in Excel, including formulas, lookups, SUMIFs, and pivot tables.
* Has excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
* Communicates confidently and professionally across teams.
* Can manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Ideally has experience working across multiple entities or within a group structure.
* Has working knowledge of systems like Sage 50, Xero, or Sage Accounting.
