Contract: 10 Programmed Activities (10 PAs) – 7.5 Direct Clinical Contact (DCC) and 2.5 Supporting Professional Activities (SPA). Substantive role. Flexible working options available including job share, part‑time and remote sessions are considered.

This post was created when an established consultant in the Psychiatric Liaison Service at Queen’s Hospital reduced their hours. The 10 PAs were added to the new 24‑hour Enhanced Crisis Assessment Hub on the Goodmayes Hospital site. The role supports the acute mental health care pathway in Emergency Departments and provides alternatives to A&E attendance via a quick assessment of patients in crises, formulating management plans to support recovery and reduce admission where possible.
