A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join BMTRs Senior Management Team (SMT) as General Manager (GM) at our established Car and Commercial Tyre Depot operating from Coleshill, Warwickshire. BMTR are the oldest independent tyre business in the UK, established in 1919, and we are looking for a dynamic and positive leader to take the reins and drive this business unit forward. Job Purpose The incoming GM will take full operational control of their business unit. From HR to Operations, procurement to business development, we are looking for a multi-skilled, multi-talented individual to step into this very challenging, yet highly rewarding position. This is a full time and permanent on-site role, where presence is required during working hours. Key Responsibilities: This is a hands-on role leading a team of 12, on daily basis to deliver industry leading level of service to our many valued customers. Work with company Directors to agree, implement, and execute business plan objectives and deliver the required commercial performance. Manage, maintain and develop key relationships with staff, suppliers and customers. Create a culture of pride, excellence and teamwork synonymous with BMTRs reputation. Full P&L accountability of your business unit. You will be expected to be experienced with dealing with all aspects of people management. Delegate, organise and manage workload vs resource whilst adhering to all internal/external KPIs and H&S legislation. Manage and maintain a £500K vehicle fleet of 15 Mobile tyre fitting vehicles. Manage and be accountable for H&S of your staff, customers and supplies Skills And Attributes Required: Strong leadership skills are mandatory. A calm and assertive nature is required. Experience in managing a P&L are an advantage. Supplier negotiation skills are an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. IT conversant with Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel are a requirement. A customer focused approach to service. A positive mindset is critical.
