Overview Of The Role
We are seeking a motivated and professional Finance Officer – Purchase Ledger and Treasury to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality services aligned with NOCN's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the Finance Assistant – Purchase ledger to ensure that purchase invoices are processed promptly and accurately, ensuring that Sage is in line with the data processed on Concur, providing supporting and coaching when required.
* Provide cover for the Finance Assistant – Purchase ledger when they are away from the office.
* Download all bank statements on a daily/monthly basis.
* Process bank imports on a daily basis, supported by the Finance Assistant – Sales Ledger.
* Complete the cashflow for showing actual transactions from the bank on a weekly basis.
* Ensure that the cashflow is accurately pulling through the profit and loss account forecast prepared by the finance business partner team.
* Support the Senior Financial Accountant with quarterly VAT returns.
* Cover for the Finance Assistant – purchase ledger when they are away from the office.
About You
* Educated to Level 3 (e.g. A Level).
* Level 2 qualification in Mathematics (at least a grade C in GCSE Maths or equivalent).
* Level 3 or higher AAT or other finance/accounting qualification (or willing to work towards) or qualified by experience.
* 2+ years' working in an accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general finance function.
* Ability to develop effective professional working relationships with all stakeholders.
* Strong Excel skills including charts.
