We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Wembley, starting as soon as possible. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to support children’s learning across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will assist with activities, continuous provision, and targeted interventions while helping children develop communication, social, emotional, and early literacy and numeracy skills. Key Responsibilities Support teaching and learning across the EYFS curriculum Assist with delivering activities, continuous provision, and small-group interventions Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development Promote early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills Observe, assess, and contribute to tracking children’s progress Work collaboratively with the EYFS team and wider school staff Support children during transitions, routines, and outdoor learning Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school initiatives Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Have previous experience supporting children in EYFS or Nursery settings Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills Be proactive, flexible, and reliable Understand child development and early learning principles Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing The school is located in Wembley, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community.
