Join our Oilfield and Industrial Chemicals Team
Baker Hughes is seeking a corrosion scientist to work in the Integrity Management Technology team based at the Liverpool Centre of Excellence site. You will be comfortable working around production chemicals in a laboratory setting and be able to handle multiple tasks / projects simultaneously. You will collaborate with other members of the technology team customers and other relevant stakeholders on a regular basis.
You will also be responsible for :
* Performing corrosion inhibitor evaluations in a laboratory research environment :
* Conducting atmospheric high temperature and pressure autoclave testing on oil water samples and product formulations
* Communicating and presenting data to clients and other relevant stakeholders
* Analysing and interpreting technical data to help customers solve their problems and produce aligned technical reports
* Practicing safe working habits including complying with HSE rules and regulations.
* Handling special projects as assigned

To be successful in this role you will have :
* Degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or related subject
* Some experience in a lab setting with corrosion applications
* Project management skills : you will be handling multiple projects at a given time and would need to manage them at a high standard
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* A Team Player mindset
* Ability to work on own initiative once fully trained
* Ability to work in a fast paced and high volume environment able to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines
