ASD Specialist Support Worker

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a specialist, nurturing environment? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join a specialist provision that caters to pupils aged 3 to 19 with ASD.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder to help them engage with education and develop social and communication skills
2. Work closely with teaching staff and therapists to implement personalised support strategies
3. Foster a calm, safe, and inclusive environment that promotes independence and confidence
4. Support behavioural management plans and help pupils navigate social challenges
5. Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to promote wellbeing and progress
About You:
6. Experience or training in supporting individuals with ASD is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential
7. Patient, empathetic, and understanding of the unique challenges faced by young people with autism
8. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
9. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
10. Flexible and reliable, with a genuine commitment to making a difference
