Job Title: Sainsbury's Officer Development Lead
Location: Regional - West & North West London
Job Overview
Effectively support and assist the SOM in managing the performance of a designated region, ensuring all contracted and temporary hours are fulfilled by trained officers to the satisfaction of store clients.
Deputise for the SOM during absence and take full responsibility for operational performance and compliance with key SLAs/KPIs.
Maintain and promote the Mitie brand by delivering industry‑leading security services.
Maximise officer deployment efficiency using systems and technology to deliver intelligence‑led services based on risk and data analysis.
Contribute to the success of the Sainsbury's contract through effective training and ongoing colleague coaching.
Support the customer and ensure timely completion of crime‑related reporting and related tasks.
Responsibilities
* Deliver Mitie company induction and comprehensive STARS training for all newly appointed security officers from induction to probation sign‑off.
* Deliver all corporate training documentation to required standard for all officers and ensure distribution.
* Implement and follow up officer personnel development plans.
* Support the security officer population in compliance of SMART usage.
* Report officer standards to the SOM and deliver focus topics and ad‑hoc training as identified by business needs.
* Provide ongoing support post‑training to embed learning.
* Deliver performance management, PIP and development plans for officers where required for uniform, time‑keeping and task completion standards.
* Integrate into the Mitie duty manager roster.
* Identify and rectify behaviours that endanger health & safety and well‑being of colleagues, customers and fellow officers.
* Assist the SOM with initial investigations for QHSE incidents and complete full investigations during SOM absence.
* Maintain uniform standards in the area of responsibility as required by the contract.
* Undertake responsibilities of the SOM during absence.
* Maintain communication, recognise achievement and develop the Mitie community.
* Perform duties associated with void properties, including site inspections and audits.

* Willingness to pursue a management apprenticeship if not already held.
