A client of ours in the Chelmsford area are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm and paying £26,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience. Reporting to the Director, your key Duties include but are not limited to: Monitoring cashflow Bank postings & reconciliations. Preparation, recording & reviewing of monthly accounts including currency revaluations, prepayments, accruals, journals & closing the month in Sage. Quarterly VAT returns Credit control Processing monthly payroll and submission to HMRC & pension provider. Assisting with the year-end accounts if required. Opening new accounts & credit checking. Sending customer invoices & statements. Order processing & collecting payments from pro-forma accounts. Organising customer returns & issuing credit notes. Processing & allocating customer payments. Answering customer queries by phone & email. Producing any customs documentation needed. Allocating delivery notes & posting purchase invoices. Stock ordering, making transport arrangements & monitoring delivery dates. Monitoring cost prices for all goods and services. Liaising with suppliers and dealing with any queries by phone & email. Processing Supplier payments. Ad-hoc ordering of supplies for Warehouse & Office. Ensure company paperwork & certifications are up to date, including staff training. Approve and monitor staff sickness & holiday as well as processing staff monthly expenses. Any other ad-hoc duties or general office tasks.Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Accounts Assistant position: AAT Level 3 accountancy qualified.
