Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Manager to oversee and manage building sites within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a comprehensive understanding of project management, particularly within the construction sector. This role involves negotiating contract terms, managing health and safety, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to achieve project objectives. A knowledge of general building is essential and experience working on projects involving stone buildings is preferred.
Responsibilities
* Working hand in glove with experienced foreman to achieve contract goals.
* Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
* Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favourable agreements.
* Collaborate with teams to develop project timeline and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
* Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, and correspondence using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
* Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional development.
* Conduct regular reviews of contracts to identify risks and opportunities for improvement in processes and outcomes.
* Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing updates on contract status and addressing any concerns promptly.
