Nuneaton and Bedworth borough Council are excited to recruit a Land & Property Estates Officer to work alongside the Team Leader within the commercial land and property team. The post holder will support the management of estates projects relating to lease reviews, relocations, and workplace improvements. Ensuring projects are planned and implemented to meet the strategic objectives and operational needs of the organisation. You will be a good communicator and develop strong and professional working relationships with tenants and NBBC legal and surveying teams. You will deal with telephone and email enquiries, taking action and responsibility where appropriate, and relaying information to the relevant person in a prompt and concise manner. Maintain and update the Estate database ensuring property records are correct and up to date. Land and Property Estate Officers To assist in the management of the Council’s commercial property portfolio and the acquisition, disposal, lease arrangements and valuation of land and property interests. Recent and relevant experience in estate/property management. Experience of managing a mixed commercial property portfolio. Desirable Experience of negotiating land sales, purchases, lease renewals, rent reviews etc. Understanding landlord and tenant law, planning regulations, and other relevant legal frameworks. Knowledge of local authority functions Proven ability to negotiate effectively with tenants and other stakeholders Essential Hold or working towards a qualification at Level 4 on the National Qualification Framework, in facilities management, building surveying, Economics or property management (or equivalent subject). Good negotiating skills. Good communication skills, both oral and written. Be able to work on own initiative. Be able to monitor and report performance.
