Job Role: Maintenance Engineer (Days only)
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Salary: £37,000–£45,000pa
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30 (40 hours per week)
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
The Client:
Interaction Recruitment are proud to partner with a leading recycling facility based in Northampton. Operating in a clean, modern environment, this company specialises in sustainable waste management using advanced machinery including control panels, conveyors, extruders, balers, and compactors. Due to continued investment and growth, we are now seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Package:
* £37,000–£45,000pa depending on experience
* 20 days annual leave + bank holidays

The Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of recycling machinery
* Fault finding and repairs on control panels, conveyors, extruders, balers, and compactors
* Work from electrical and mechanical schematics
* Minimise downtime and ensure smooth operation of production equipment
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve reliability
The Requirements:
* Previous experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and/or mechanical)
* Strong fault-finding skills and ability to read schematics
* Experience working with automated machinery or within recycling/manufacturing environments
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical or mechanical discipline
* Team player with a proactive and safety-conscious approach
