Join Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester as a Supplier Technical Support - Principal Engineer, playing a key role in supporting the Transfer and NPI (New Product Introduction) team. You will drive manufacturing strategy, continuous improvement, and the successful transfer of new products and technologies through the global supply chain.
What will I be doing?
*Acting as the main technical interface between NPI teams and suppliers to resolve manufacturing-related queries and optimize production methods.
*Supporting technical reviews and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes to improve lead times and apply lean manufacturing principles.
*Facilitating new supplier development and conducting product/process audits to ensure quality and compliance.
*Collaborating closely with design and industrial project teams to implement innovative manufacturing solutions.
*Assisting with global supply chain development, including support for other Safran sites and international travel as required.
What do I need to succeed in the role?
*Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer with strong knowledge of manufacturing tools, methods, and lean principles.
*Proficiency in Catia V5 and expertise in manufacturing process design and technical problem-solving.
*Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and suppliers.
*Ability to adapt and innovate within a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment.
*Experience in supplier auditing, global supply chain support, and willingness to travel internationally.
