Offer description

Salary: £27,332 per year fte

Contract Type: Temporary

Position Type: Part Time

Hours: 15 hours per week

The No Recourse North East (NRNE) Partnership is looking for a No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) Project Worker for their NRPF: Tackling and Preventing Destitution project.

The NRNE Partnership, established in 2014, promotes knowledge sharing and good practice among agencies supporting those with NRPF. It was created in response to inconsistent decisions by public bodies, lack of sector expertise, and safety concerns for women from outwith the UK fleeing domestic abuse. Comprised mainly of third-sector organisations, public sector representatives, community groups, and elected officials, facilitated by GREC, Shelter Scotland, and Turning Point Scotland, the Partnership aims to ensure individuals with NRPF, particularly from minority ethnic communities, who are affected by homelessness, domestic abuse or destitution, receive quality advice and support.

The NRPF: Tackling and Preventing Destitution project aims to engage at a strategic and frontline level, to help develop capacity and improve practice across the North East, to support people with NRPF and develop effective approaches to prevent and tackle destitution.

The NRPF Project Worker will coordinate the Partnership meetings, support training sessions on NRPF-related issues, and work alongside Partnership members and other key stakeholders to ensure quality advice and support is provided to those with NRPF in the North East. See Job Description for more details.

An ideal candidate has project delivery experience, takes initiative, builds collaborative relationships, delivers engaging presentations, communicates clearly, is organised, tech-savvy, and skilled in networking.

Although not a requirement, we strongly encourage applications from individuals with direct experience of NRPF and applicants from communities disproportionately impacted by NRPF.

Training will be provided for those without in-depth knowledge of NRPF and its complexities.

The Project Worker will report to the NRNE Partnership facilitators and receive line management from GREC’s General Manager.

This post is funded by the Fairer Aberdeen Fund.

Applications to be returned by 5pm on Friday 4th July 2025.

Interviews will be held from the week beginning Monday 21st July 2025.
