Overview of the role
The Team Leader supports and guides a team of social care workers, ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will liaise with senior staff in the home and report any concerns. You must have experience in the care sector and a willingness to learn and develop your skills. You will make a significant difference in people's lives while enjoying activities, trips, and outings that promote safety, happiness, and fulfillment for those we support.
Key duties
* Supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care setting
* Supervising a team and assisting with the management of the home
* Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
* Completing tasks professionally, promptly, and accurately
* Supervising mealtimes to promote positive attitudes towards food
* Assisting residents with daily activities both inside and outside the home
* Using initiative to support residents during activities and daily tasks
Personal attributes
Patience, reliability, flexibility, teamwork, and good communication skills are essential qualities for a successful Team Leader.

Sandsground is a spacious bungalow near Highworth, providing 24-hour care for adults with severe learning disabilities and complex needs. The home features a summer house for activities and relaxation, with access to public transport and our own transport for leisure activities such as swimming and walks.
