Electrical Harness Maintenance Technician
Lichfield

As the Electrical Harness Maintenance Technician, your role will vary day-to-day and you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary skills team to develop, test, and validate hybrid systems.
* Experience in Electronics / Electrical engineering
* Ability to read and create basic electrical drawings and schematics
* Computer literacy (Microsoft software and specific to electrical drawings)
* PLC programming experience or understanding of logic-based functions is an advantage
* Hands-on wiring / cabling experience from drawings or practical experience
* Knowledge of hybrid systems is an advantage
* Troubleshooting electrical systems
* Ability to use basic hand tools such as soldering equipment, gripping tools, wiring tools
* Ability to make basic mechanical components using standard machines (lathe, etc.)
Main Duties:
* Modify automotive harness or similar electrical systems to customer specifications
* Wire test rigs, core engines, test chambers, or similar systems/equipment
* Monitor and record data during tests
* Troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems
* Develop electrical systems to support development activities
* Create electrical documentation
* Perform general maintenance on test rigs/equipment (Mechanical/Electrical)
* Support equipment and product/system installation
Entry Requirements:
* NVQ / BTEC qualification or higher
Training:
* Training will be provided on the job and through specialized courses. You will work as part of a team with experienced engineers.
Working hours: 38 hours/week, Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (30-minute lunch), Friday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
