Part-time Supply Teacher
Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Part-time, Supply (Flexible working)
Are you a fully qualified teacher with QTS looking for flexible teaching opportunities in Tunbridge Wells? GSL Education Kent are currently recruiting committed and experienced QTS-qualified Part-time Supply Teachers to support secondary schools in the local area.
This role is strictly for teachers who hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are confident delivering lessons across a range of subjects and key stages. We are particularly keen to hear from professionals who can step into the classroom with confidence, maintain high teaching standards, and adapt quickly to different school settings.
As a Part-time Supply Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and creating a focused and engaging learning environment for students.
We partner with a variety of well-regarded secondary schools in Tunbridge Wells, including academies, grammar schools, and comprehensive schools, many of which have been rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. These schools offer welcoming and supportive environments for both staff and students.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher with QTS who values flexibility while continuing to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities of the Part-time Supply Teacher:
• Deliver pre-set lessons confidently across different subjects and year groups
• Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning atmosphere
• Follow school policies, including safeguarding procedures
• Provide feedback on student progress and lesson outcomes
• Adapt effectively to a range of school environments and expectations
Requirements for Part-time Supply Teacher:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential (applications without QTS will not be considered)
• Recent experience teaching in UK secondary schools
• Strong behaviour management skills and adaptability
• Right to work in the UK
