Our organisation is going through significant change, so we're looking for a bright, energetic communications officer to make things happen. About half your time will be focussed on communicating with our 3500 colleagues who are based at 350 locations around the country. This could be sharing news updates, maintaining our intranet or planning multi-channel communications for initiatives such as healthy eating, wellbeing or diversity. You'll also get involved in our marketing or public affairs work, which ensures that people outside our organisation understand what we're about and join us in our mission. Your experience managing websites and professional social media channels will be valuable here.
Whether inside or outside United Response, sharing stories about the difference we've made to someone's life is impactful. You will often speak to a wide variety of people and help them tell their stories. Therefore, we need your creative writing, photography, or content editing skills.
The communications and marketing team is a small but effective group of 8 people. You'll report to the Marketing and Communications Manager, alongside another officer.
