We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Trade counter Assistant to join their busy and customer-focused branch team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and personable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced trade or retail environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing knowledgeable, friendly, and dependable service to customers, while supporting branch sales and profitability. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will ensure customer expectations are consistently met - and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build strong and effective relationships with customers, understanding their requirements and supplying the correct products
2. Proactively identify sales opportunities, offering advice and practical solutions
3. Maintain a clean, organised, and well-merchandised counter area in line with company standards
4. Accurately complete all sales-related paperwork in accordance with company policies
5. Liaise with suppliers and other branches/departments as required
6. Support the Branch/General Manager and colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient branch operations
