As an Underwriting Assistant for our Financial Lines and Cyber underwriting teams, you will provide support in the assessment, processing, and administration of insurance products, including but not limited to Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability, Professional Indemnity, and Cyber Insurance. WHAT YOU WILL DO
· Assist underwriters in the assessment and processing of new and renewal business for financial lines products including D&O liability, E&O liability, Cyber Liability, and EPL.
· Prepare and review policy documentation, endorsements, and schedules to ensure accuracy.
· Monitor and track submission statuses, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups with brokers and clients.
· Maintain up-to-date records in underwriting systems and databases.
· Provide administrative support with quotes, proposals, and risk assessments.
· Liaise with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information.
· Assist with the preparation of reports and underwriting files for internal and regulatory purposes.
· Support the team with any ad hoc tasks as needed.
· Review and analyze underwriting data, market trends, and industry developments to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
· Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate underwriting data effectively.
· Previous experience in an underwriting assistant or similar role within insurance is preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with brokers, clients, and team members.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and underwriting software.
· High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· A team player with a proactive, positive attitude an willingness to learn.
