The Role
We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our team at Soho Farmhouse (OX7 4JS). You will oversee the onsite Bakery and Brunch Café, ensuring smooth daily operations, exceptional service standards, and supporting a passionate front-of-house team. Working closely with the Head of Department, you will foster a positive work culture, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and ensure efficient operations. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role in our busy café located in the main farmyard. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Main duties
1. Lead and support a team of up to 10 front-of-house staff during busy service periods
2. Maintain high customer service standards, ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for
3. Assist the HOD with training, onboarding, and motivating team members
4. Assist with scheduling, shift planning, and staffing levels
5. Oversee retail displays, manage stock rotation, merchandising, and reordering
6. Monitor FOH ordering and stock levels for dry goods, packaging, and essentials
7. Handle customer feedback or concerns professionally on the floor
8. Promote a clean, organized, and compliant FOH environment
Desired experience includes 1-2 years as a barista, with training provided if not. Candidates should be team players, punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting. A genuine passion for food and beverage, flexibility to work opening and closing shifts, and a sense of urgency are essential.
