Required Skills Qauntity Sruveying Pre contract Post contract Project reporting MRICS Job Summary Our Client, a leading engineering and design consultancy, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Epsom. Experience - Be able to attend office for a minimum of 1-2 days per week. - Work as part of a team, providing commercial assistance to the client on a day-to-day basis. - Carry out both pre- and post-contract work. - Assist in the preparation of various classes of estimates based on available design information. - Agreement of valuations and site measures with contractors. - Produce monthly project reports. - Production of reports for client review. - Agreement of final accounts. - Production of cost estimates. - Attend and participate in project meetings. - Support the client PM and project team with the management of contracts. - Support project reviews and audits. - Ability to take ownership of work packages, aspects of projects or projects with minimum supervision. Job Responsibilities Ideally MRICS qualified or working towards the APC. Aptitude for a logical approach to problems and work generally. Confident use of Microsoft Office and other role-related software packages, e.g. CostX. Market savvy and commercially minded, able to see the opportunity and to develop it. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and identify key issues. Energetic and enthusiastic with a willingness to work independently, whilst also being a strong team player. Engaging and approachable with strong communication and presentation skills. Able to inspire, gain trust and motivate.
