Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented BIM Coordinator to support the design, coordination, and delivery of complex construction and infrastructure projects across the UK.
Core Responsibilities
* Develop, coordinate, and maintain 3D BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, from design to construction and handover.
* Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project standards (e.g., PAS 1192, ISO 19650).
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate model integration and clash detection.
* Conduct model audits and quality checks to maintain data integrity and consistency.
* Support BIM data exchange between design and site teams, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
* Manage clash detection processes using software such as Navisworks, Solibri, or similar tools.
* Assist in 4D (time) and 5D (cost) BIM integration when required.
* Provide technical support and training to project team members on BIM tools and standards.
* Coordinate model version control, documentation, and change management across project teams.
* Collaborate with the BIM Manager to enhance workflows, templates, and process efficiency.
* Liaise with external consultants, clients, and contractors to ensure successful project coordination.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Services, or Construction Technology.
* 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in BIM coordination or digital construction within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.
* Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and familiarity with BIM 360, Solibri, Dynamo, or Tekla.
* Strong understanding of UK BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 standards and associated documentation.
* Experience working across design, construction, and MEP coordination phases.
* Excellent communication skills for cross-discipline coordination and client interaction.
* Attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Experience in clash detection, federated models, and construction sequencing is highly desirable.
