Here at BaxterStorey we currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented Sales and Events Manager to support our client location close to King's Cross. Goodenough College is a historic venue with a suite of period rooms providing an elegant backdrop to any event. As our Sales and Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimising the sales and marketing strategies to ensure Goodenough College is able to achieve its annual targets and create lasting memories for our clients and guests. We will invest in your development with ongoing training, to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge to thrive in your role, and we guarantee a good work-life balance, because we believe that people excel when they are given the space to take care of themselves Job Description Sales & Business Development: Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities (corporate, social, wedding, etc.). Develop and maintain relationships with clients, event planners, DMCs, and corporate partners. Event Planning & Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure flawless execution of events. Create detailed event proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders Client Relationship Management: Conduct site visits, client meetings, and pre-event planning sessions. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction throughout the sales and event lifecycle. Handle client feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Administrative & Reporting: Maintain accurate records for all events Track sales activity, forecasts, and event details for internal reporting. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices. Qualifications Minimum 2-4 years of experience in hospitality sales, event planning, or catering. Proven track record in sales and event execution. Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proficiency in event management systems. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
