As a support worker, you'll experience personal growth, build meaningful relationships, and develop a wide range of skills. A key part of your role will be learning and applying Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) methods.

PBS helps improve peoples quality of life by encouraging positive behaviours and reducing challenging ones. You will use these practices daily to support each persons unique needs.

Your training will help you become confident in using PBS strategies to create a safe, caring, and supportive environment.

Being a support worker means more than managing behaviour. You'll help people live ordinary lives, take part in activities they enjoy, and build routines that bring purpose and belonging.

Person-centred care will guide everything you do. You'll work closely with your team, follow PBS plans, and make a real difference every day.

THE HOME

Bridge House is a warm and inviting residence for 5 service users. Our dedicated team, comprising 10 day support workers and 2 attentive waking night staff, ensures round-the-clock care. With a compassionate and experienced registered manager leading our devoted management team, we provide a spacious and comfortable home where every individual is cared for and supported.

SUPPORT WORKER SHIFTS

The role of Support Worker is full time at 37.5 hours per week with shifts. You will be required to work a mix of early and late shifts, some weekends and some bank holidays. This is not an overnight role. Early and late shift times are as follows:

* Early: 7:30am to 3pm
* Late: 2:30pm to 10pm

Qualification and Experience required

We seek individuals with a sincere passion for caring for others, and prior experience is not required. We offer training and opportunities for career advancement as you develop. However, possessing professional or personal experience in delivering care, especially with adults with learning difficulties, would be advantageous.

If you lack a Care Certificate, we will arrange certification for you during your induction.

Additionally, the Support Worker role has straightforward requirements:

* Competent in written English
* Basic numeracy skills
