Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher ready to inspire the next generation? We are seeking an ambitious and engaging Humanities specialist to join a thriving secondary school in Brent. This is an exciting opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge across History, Geography and Religious Studies, with the ability to deliver high quality, thought provoking lessons that develop critical thinking, curiosity and a deeper understanding of the world.


The Role

As a Humanities Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach your specialist subject (History, Geography or RS) to GCSE level
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes debate and enquiry
• Assess, monitor and track student progress effectively
• Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities department
• Support whole school initiatives and enrichment opportunities

You will play a key role in helping students develop analytical skills, cultural awareness and an understanding of global and historical contexts.


About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has a degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies or a related Humanities subject
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and high expectations
• Has experience teaching in UK secondary schools
• Is committed to raising attainment and narrowing achievement gaps
• Brings energy, creativity and professionalism to the role

ECTs are welcome to apply and will receive a structured induction programme and dedicated mentor support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
