Operations Manager
Southgates & The Woottons Surgery is a large GP Practice in King's Lynn, operating two sites with a combined patient list of around 22,000. We are looking for an Operations Manager to work closely with the Practice Manager to ensure high‑quality patient care and an appealing workplace for staff.

Job Responsibilities
* Oversee the day‑to‑day running and wider operational activities of the practice across all sites.
* Manage practice staff, including recruitment, retention, development and performance reviews.
* Lead and motivate team members to achieve targets and improve service delivery in line with QOF, Enhanced Services and other NHS objectives.
* Analyse income streams, ensure accurate and timely claims, and identify opportunities to maximise income.
* Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies (CCG, PCN, CQC, PP) for quality audits, compliance and service delivery.
* Maintain health and safety standards, manage risks and clinical governance processes.
* Coordinate training, IT support and process improvement initiatives across both sites.
* Represent the practice at meetings and in the community, and support the Practice Manager and Executive Partners in strategic planning.
* Perform any other reasonable tasks as required by the Practice Manager or Partners.
Qualifications
* GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English (C or above)
* Evidence of relevant ongoing professional development
* Degree or master's level education
* Relevant management qualification
Person Specification
* Experience in a general practice or healthcare setting
* Experience managing staff and implementing operational improvements
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Excellent time management, prioritisation and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure
* Working knowledge of SystmOne, CQRS and Open Exeter
* Understanding of practice incomes and financial systems
* Experience in premises, health and safety and IT system management is desirable
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards
