Job Description We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Utilities & Infrastructure team based in Huddersfield. Reporting to the Lead Utilities Engineer and working alongside a maintenance planner your role in the team will be to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable utility provision to manufacturing plants across the site is maintained. In addition, your team will provide effective out of hours mechanical & electrical shift support as well as specialist services to manufacturing plant customers that include reliability of rotating equipment and alarm and trip compliance. To provide this service you will lead a team of technicians and manage 3rd party contractors, ensuring work is executed in line with agreed Work Management processes. You will set daily priorities and align the weekly schedule of work. You will have responsibility for preparing Safe Systems of work across the area. You will track performance by establishing, monitoring, measuring, and reporting performance metrics and ensuring the delivery of operational objectives. By analysing this information, with a continuous improvement mindset, you will develop the means to execute work in a timely and cost-effective manner which meet and exceed operational objectives. Qualifications and required experience Solid operations & maintenance experience within a relevant sector (Chemicals, Pharma, Utilities or FMCG with a high utility dependency). Solid experience within a similar role, with a strong mechanical or electrical skill set. Proficient with IT and applicable software (ideally prior experience of CMMS software). Strong leadership experience. Ability to lead high performing technicians in both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Experience of leading shift technicians (whilst not being available to work alongside those technicians – you will be based on Mon-Fri days) Strong experience and focus on Health, Safety & Environment. Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
