In this role you will lead the UK brand & e-commerce team for ASR Group Europe (ASRGE). Team consists of four (Marketing Assistant, 2x Brand Manager, and Digital Marketing Manager) plus personnel delivering e-commerce fulfilment. The team is responsible for the management of Lyle’s brand (No.1 Golden Syrup), Tate & Lyle brand (No. 2 in Sugars) and Whitworths (No. 4 in Sugars) as well as the oversight of specific e-commerce activities. In this role you should produce annual brand plans, deliver targeted activation in support of brand goals, deliver on e-commerce targets and maintain owned media channels.

This is an exciting time for the business as we look to push NPD projects which this position will play a major part in. There is a great team and larger marketing function to help support this and make it a success.

Location: WC2E 9HE (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days from home)

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Annual Plans: own & implement annual brand plans ensuring marketing goals are delivered through the marketing mix and aligned with marketing innovation, sales and other relevant teams. Ensure plans deliver against the business and marketing goals.
2. Activation: Oversee incumbent agencies & internal resources to deliver marketing activations as required for agreed objectives including development of creative assets, media planning and all related elements.
3. Digital & owned media: Lead team members who maintain performance of owned media channels (web & social channels),
4. E-commerce: Lead team members to develop successful e-commerce store fronts, customer acquisition, fulfilment and manage performance ongoing.
5. Communication & Team: Build strong cross-functional relationships with external agencies, marketing colleagues (in particular Head of Marketing for consumer innovation), sales, and related functions to ensure full alignment around key projects and to provide direction and influence representing the marketing agenda.
6. Budget: Cost management for channel, delivering maximum value for agreed spend and setting efficient annual budget that maximises opportunity for return on investment.
7. EPD / Portfolio management: Maintain product portfolios to optimum profitability – support periodic reviews of portfolio with analyst & sales colleagues.
8. People Management: Team members who have clear areas of responsibility and should be developed and coached in their roles.

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES

9. Marketing experience preferably gained in the FMCG sector
10. Leadership of a consumer brand
11. Experience of successful multi-channel brand activation
12. Experience of activating & establishing new products
13. Experience of increasing sales through e-commerce
