About the Role
You will be responsible for providing dental services to patients, including emergency treatments, general examinations, preventative treatments, restorations, minor oral surgical procedures, x-rays, extractions, root canal treatments, and the design/management of prosthodontics. You will liaise with the senior dental officer (depending on clinic size), medical officers, nursing officers, and specialist dental providers to deliver comprehensive dental care. Your role is vital in promoting and maintaining the good oral health of personnel by Defence Policies and Procedures, ensuring patients are dentally fit for deployment.

About You
You are passionate about providing high-quality dental services. You have a friendly and professional manner that puts patients at ease and inspires trust. You demonstrate respect and professionalism, uphold strong moral values, and work well within a multidisciplinary team to deliver the highest standard of care.
To be successful, you will have:
• The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
• Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General Dentist with AHPRA
• Minimum 2 years of postgraduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years
• Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities
• Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certifications
About Edinburgh
Located 25 km North of Adelaide at RAAF Base Edinburgh, the Edinburgh Health Centre services 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, including the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine. The centre operates a 16-bed low dependency ward 24/7 and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical, and rehabilitation services. Standard hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday, with variations for weekend and on-call shifts.
