We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Product Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving the success of our product portfolio by overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch. As a Technical Product Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand market trends, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure our products meet and exceed customer expectations. Along with managing day to day purchasing activity of suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy:
Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with company goals.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and market trends.
Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer needs and competitive landscape.
Develop strategy to improve our supply chain management.
Product Development:
Work closely with the sales, marketing, suppliers, engineering, and design teams to bring products from concept to launch.
Create detailed product requirements, user stories, and specifications.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure a unified approach to product positioning and messaging.
Act as a liaison between different departments to facilitate effective communication and information flow.
Work closely with key stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into the product development process.
Product Launch and Marketing:
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for product launches.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling product messaging and positioning.
Monitor and analyse product performance, gathering insights for continuous improvement.
Product Lifecycle Management:
Manage the entire product lifecycle, from inception to retirement.
Monitor product performance and gather feedback to make data-driven decisions for product improvements or pivots.
Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements to ensure our products remain competitive.
Purchasing function:
Source and evaluate strategic suppliers for new product ranges.
Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans to optimize product quality and cost effectiveness.
Build productive relationships with suppliers, monitor supplier performance and capabilities.
Must have skills/ qualifications/ experience:
Relevant industry experience (engineering sector, fluid handling components/systems) or
A degree in engineering/science. Preferably both
Proven experience (3 to 5 years) in product management within a similar transferable industry or sector.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Demonstrated success in launching and managing successful products.
Strong negotiation skills
Clean driving license

Marketing degree or other qualifications
Business administration qualifications
Data processing skills
