Recruitment Driving Assessor – Metroline
Location: Willesden Junction
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (occasional Saturdays)
About the role
Metroline is looking for a Recruitment Driving Assessor to join our Recruitment team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring we attract and select the very best candidates for our bus driver training programme.
You will conduct structured driving assessments for applicants holding a UK Category B licence, assessing their driving skills, behaviours, and potential to become professional bus drivers. Alongside assessments, you’ll support our recruitment activity, helping to build a strong pipeline of safe, skilled, and customer-focused drivers.
What you’ll be doing
* Carrying out structured car driving assessments with non-PCV applicants
* Evaluating road awareness, vehicle control, judgement, and safe driving habits
* Assessing candidate communication, temperament, and customer service potential
* Providing fair, objective feedback and written reports
* Supporting recruitment processes, including scheduling, record-keeping, and events
* Acting as a Metroline ambassador and promoting our values of safety and professionalism
What we’re looking for
* Experience in driver assessment, training, or coaching
* Recognised assessor or training qualification (e.g. RTITB, PTLLS, or equivalent)
* PCV licence and Driver CPC (advantageous but not essential)
* Experience in recruitment, HR, or customer-facing roles
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
