Following their Silver win for Best Place to Work at The Consultancy Awards 2025, they are hiring a Project Manager to lead delivery across residential development and land-promotion projects. This is a hands-on PM role owning scope, programme and budget while coordinating technical teams to deliver high-quality outputs for planning. This is an especially exciting opportunity due to company expansion. You'll be joining the new Bristol office, which is opening in the coming weeks, stepping in early to help shape the team. With a busy pipeline in residential and strategic land, you will work alongside ecologists, arboriculturists and water specialists to keep projects moving on time within scope and to the required standard. Project Manager Salary & Benefits Salary: £35,000-£40,000 DOE 26 days' annual leave including 1 day in your birthday week and 3 days between Christmas and New Year 2 paid CSR days for volunteering of your choice Christmas Eve office closure Enhanced maternity: full pay for the first 12 weeks then statutory pay Enhanced paternity: full pay for 3 weeks plus additional leave or TOIL by negotiation £500 'Baby Bonus' per household toward nursery or pram costs TOIL banking and overtime system so every hour is accounted for and rewarded Introduction bonuses for recommending new staff Death in Service insurance (opt-in) at a salary multiple dependent on grade Annual training budget for external courses plus internal seminars and CPD Laptop, phone, PPE and equipment provided with remote access to systems Hire cars and company fleet available as required Flexible working arrangements with home/office split and FT/PT options Employer contributory pension scheme Employee charity fundraising matching scheme Project Manager Job Overview Take overall responsibility for effective delivery of assigned projects across residential and land-promotion work Manage day-to-day tasks through the project lifecycle including programme, access, deliverables and quality Act as primary client liaison on access, progress updates, change requests and general consultancy Appoint and mentor a Deputy PM and assign a Technical Lead when required Maintain CMAP or equivalent for timeline, resource and revenue scheduling with clear technical completion tracking Keep deliverables up to date in the report register and log mapping or desk-study needs on the GIS tracker Monitor budgets and WIP, forecast overspend early and recover through change control where possible Verify Instruction to Proceed before work starts and ensure scope and contract compliance Organise site access and prepare RAMS prior to surveys Brief project teams on scope, risks and deliverables, and chair internal progress meetings when needed Communicate resource, equipment and vehicle needs to the resource coordinator Contribute to billing, raise invoices in CMAP and update the project tracker Identify scope creep, agree changes with clients and secure funding before spend where feasible Prepare fee proposals for follow-on work and manage the opportunity until won or closed Attend project reviews and provide regular progress updates to the Project Director Project Manager Job Requirements 3 years' experience in a project management or senior coordination role within an environmental or engineering consultancy Proven delivery across residential development or land-promotion schemes with solid understanding of planning workflows Comfortable coordinating ecology survey programmes, BS5837 tree work and water environment inputs such as FRA and SuDS Strong commercial control with budgets, change management and invoicing Proficient with CMAP or similar PM/ERP tools and confident using report registers and GIS trackers Experience with Nextweek software is desirable not essential Excellent communication and stakeholder skills with the ability to mentor a Deputy PM and keep teams aligned Strong organisational skills with attention to QA, RAMS and on-time delivery Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
