Are you an experienced and driven Maths teacher looking to step into a key leadership role?
Teaching Personnel’s PWR team is proud to be working in partnership with a high-performing all-through school in Bexley to appoint a Second in Command of Maths & Key Stage Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious practitioner to support strategic development of the Maths department while leading on curriculum and standards across a specific Key Stage.
About the Role:
As Maths 2iC and Key Stage Lead, you will support the Director of Learning in shaping the department's vision and driving high standards across teaching, learning, and pupil progress. You'll take specific leadership responsibility for either Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4 (based on experience), playing a central role in curriculum design, assessment, and intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on curriculum planning, delivery, and assessment within your designated Key Stage
Support the strategic direction of the Maths department alongside the Director of Learning
Mentor and coach colleagues to ensure consistency and high-quality teaching
Analyse student progress data and implement effective interventions
Contribute to departmental and whole-school improvement planning
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✔ Strong subject knowledge and proven classroom success in teaching Maths
✔ Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
✔ Evidence of leadership capacity or current middle leadership responsibility
✔ A commitment to raising standards and promoting a culture of high expectations
