Job: Lead Cost Engineer Company: BAE Systems Hourly Rate: £47 PAYE or £63.40 Umbrella inside IR35 Location : Barrow-in-Furness 2 days per fortnight Contract : 6 months (Opportunity to be extended) Working Hours : 37 hours per week About The Role: Looking for a Cost Engineer to lead for cost control ensuring abidance to budget and forecast on a day-to-day basis. Updating the spend forecast and being able to articulate any cost variances. Developing the estimate of complection (EAC). Key Responsibilities : Able to undertake advanced problem solving typically based on previous experience. Have a comprehensive knowledge of Business process and procedures. Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft packages, Attend on the job training as appropriate. Able to lead the PM&C processes on a small project or a work package of a larger project Skills & Qualifications : Ideally someone with experience as a Cost Lead Expert on defence or any other highly regulated indsutry. Ideally some form of PM qualification but not essential. Fluent in Excel SAP would be desirable. Familiarity with planning tools such as P6 would be advantagoues but not essential.
