YEAR 6 CLASSTEACHER

The BeDifferent Federated Governing Body are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, collaborative and highly motivated part time Year 6 teacher to join to join our large Year 6 class. A unique role where you will work closely with the current class teacher to support learning and teaching within the classroom, contributing to high quality provision for all children. As part of this role, you will also be responsible for providing some class teacher cover in the class that you will be supporting in.
A commitment to sustaining ‘outstanding’ achievement and progress of all children and staff is essential during a time where learning and teaching and academic standards are significantly higher. The ability to demonstrate collaborative partnership working and a secure understanding of how the Social and Emotional Aspects Of Learning are at the heart of transforming outcomes for all.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. to be an effective, inspirational class teacher catering for the range of needs of the children in the class – some of whom may have special educational needs, English as an additional language or educational healthcare plan.
2. to provide for the learning experiences of all children and staff across the school and use the outcomes effectively to remove barriers to learning and improve learning for all
3. to ensure that the entitlement of all children is met through inclusion in all areas of school life
4. to take an active role in children’s personal, social, emotional and educational development
5. to monitor the children’s progress through rigorous tracking procedures that evaluate progress and achievement
6. to ensure positive behaviour management strategies support all children’s social, emotional aspects of learning
7. to provide feedback to staff, children and their families in relationship to progress, achievement, attitudes and behaviour
8. to have the secure knowledge of how to safeguard children and be able to report concerns as per the school expectation
9. to recognise that everybody in our BeDifferent Federation is unique and exceptional in their own way
10. to practise respectful engagement, listening actively with all, feeling free from fear of being criticised, which encourages all of us to get curious and ask open questions to better understand the other persons' viewpoint.
